Why Malaysians do not take Pride in Meritocracy

Let's see...
  1. Our universities are on race quota basis.
  2. Our cabinet have many politicians without merit.
  3. Our politicians are elected not based on merit, but.....heaven knows.
It's not to say all Malaysian politicians are without merit, but unfortunately the Malaysian politicians we have today aren't the creme de la creme.

The most recent is the comment made by Ng Wei Aik against the MPPP. His sense of professionalism as a Political Secretary was not on par. What power has a political secretary over the city council? Don't try to "do good".

Regarding the same matter, is the professionalism of those who accuse Ng for making the racist statement of "Indians go back to India" and making it national news. Really, if these people have the balls to accuse through "phantom channels", can't these people just grow a backbone and prove to everyone else through their own merits?

Yet, the nation's "leaders" continue to ponder why the Malaysian people don't trust our own politicians and scoff at national university graduates.
